How to use this site
Browsing
The home page lists every resource in the library by title. Use the A to Z row to jump to titles that start with a letter. Click a title to open the resource, read it on the page, or download it.
Searching
Type in the search bar and press Search. The search looks at titles, authors, subjects and the full text inside each PDF. Under the search bar you can choose how it matches. Filters and search work together, so you can search inside a filtered list.
Exact words
Finds the words you type. A search for merit finds resources that contain the word merit. This is the best choice when you know a name, a title or a specific term.
Related ideas
Finds the words you type, and also finds passages about the same idea in different words. A search for why Thai people find it hard to become a Christian can find a passage about barriers to faith even if it uses none of those words. This is the best choice for a question or a topic.
Search tips
Put a phrase in quotation marks to find those words together, for example "folk Buddhism". Put a minus sign before a word to leave it out, for example church -history. Type or between two words to find either one.
Reading the results
Each result shows up to three passages that match your search, with the PDF page they come from. The line above them tells you how many pages of that resource contain a match. Choose Show all matches to list every matching passage.
Click a passage to open the resource at that page. Inside a resource, the panel beside the PDF lets you search that document alone.
Filters
The filters narrow the list by resource type, subject, author and publication year. Select what you want and choose Apply filters. When you pick more than one subject or author, you can ask for resources that match any of them or all of them. Filters and search work together, so you can search inside a filtered list.
Page numbers
The reader counts pages from the start of the PDF file. A printed page number inside the document may be different.
